Classroom Expectations

Mr. Richardson's Classroom Rules

  1. Respect yourself, the teacher and your classmates. And expect respect in return.
  2. Be proud of the classroom and treat it appropriately. You will spend a lot of time in this classroom over the next year.
  3. Pay attention, help others, and if unsure about anything...ask questions!
  4. Take responsibility for your learning and your actions.
  5. Be the best self that you can be every day!

Students have the right to…
  • Bring water bottles as long as they have a lid
  • Chew gum in class...but must do so with respect to the rest of the class
  • Ask classmates for help or assistance when needed (politely)
  • Fell comfortable and belong

Students have the responsibility to…

  • Pick up garbage in the class or school and keep it clean
  • Make up for lost assignments/do their homework
  • Keep their workspace tidy
  • Be responsable for their materials
  • Be respectful to the property and materials of others

Academic Expectations
    • Give your best effort in all subject areas.
    • Complete and submit assignments and homework on time.
    • If you are unable to meet a deadline for a good reason, speak to your teacher yourself to create an alternate plan.
    • Organize your school work and materials.
    • Prepare adequately for quizzes, tests, and presentations.
